I have an ASUS N551JM mainboard that runs well off the DC charger but does not charge the battery.

    ASUS N551JM mainboard that runs well off the DC charger but does not charge the battery. Anyone here that does mainboard component repair?

    Try a new battery and check the charger.

    Oh yes. That has been done. With PSU 19v dc input verified: Pin 1+3 = 3.00v Pin 1+4=3.28v Pin 1+5=3.28v Pin 1+6=0 Pin1+7=0v Pin1+8=2.41v Pin 1+9=2.41. Is Pin 6 or 7 supposed to be +v also or 0? New battery and 2 different AC/DC PSU... Brand name ASUS also.

    2 lead input (center positive) goes to 3 Black and 3 red wires into mainboard.

    All three RED are +19 V
